The Stanford Festival Weekend 2017
November 3rd to 5th
The Stanford Society’s eleventh annual Festival Weekend will be held in Canterbury, England from November 3rd to 5th, 2017. This will be part of the annual Canterbury Festival. This Weekend will include a walking tour of Canterbury, services and a concert in the Cathedral, a chamber recital by the Dante Quartet, a concert of English choral music presented by the Dutch Toonkunstkoor choir from Leiden in the Netherlands and talks by Stanford scholars.

For the Festival Weekend, The Society has secured a block of rooms at the Canterbury Cathedral Lodge Hotel which is a ten year old hotel in the precincts of the Cathedral. This is within a ten minute walk from all the events of the Weekend.
The rooms available are:
Double or twin – UK Pounds 129 a night including VAT and breakfast
Single occupancy – UK Pounds 119 a night including VAT and breakfast
Single rooms – Two small single rooms are available at UK Pounds 92 a night including VAT and breakfast.
These rates are available up until August 1st, 2017 although early booking is advised as we anticipate selling out of the reserved block of rooms. These rates will also be honoured for two or three days before and after the Festival Weekend. There is limited free parking close to the Hotel but paid parking is available.
