On Saturday 23rd June, the Kingston Philharmonia will be performing Stanford’s 7th Symphony among works by Delius and Elgar. The performance will take place at 7:30pm at All Saints Church, Market Square, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 1JP.

Finished in 1911 and published in 1912, Stanford’s Symphony No.7 was written in response to a commission for a short orchestral work from the Philharmonic Society for their centenary year celebrations. It was premiered on the 22nd February 1912 at Queen’s Hall with Stanford conducting.
