Following the successful performance of Stanford’s The Veiled Prophet of Khorassan at the 2019 Wexford Festival, the full recording is now available on the RTE player at the following LINK for free.
There are also a number of videos available of the performance on YouTube, two of which can be seen below. The Stanford Society is inquiring as to whether the The Veiled Prophet of Khorassan can released on CD similar to the recent release of The Travelling Companion performed by The New Sussex Opera Company.
Following the performances of three of Stanford’s operas over the last year or so, we are hoping there will be a renewed interest in this part of Stanford’s output.
